This huge hiking area with its with panoramic pleasure trails is so cleverly linked to the cable cars, that even less agile people, or those who are out of shape, are inclined to succumb to the charms of an alpine hike.

From leisurely family hiking trails and pushchair-friendly pleasure trails to challenging, high-alpine summit tours, you will find trails to match all tastes and levels of difficulty.

MountainChalets Tip

For wellness-walkers: gentle, well-signposted forest and meadow paths, such as those around the Wolf Lake, satisfy one’s wanderlust.  A little higher, up - at  about 2000 metres above sea level - panoramic pleasure trails alternate with hiking trails leading to observation decks with stunning views.

For summiteers: summit crosses, mountain lakes, alpine meadows and beautiful climbing areas await. Guided hiking tours with qualified mountain guides are offered from June to October as part of a varied hiking and touring program heading to the most beautiful and rewarding destinations in the area. The hiking tours are selected so that they are manageable for hikers with a certain level of fitness, but without any particular prerequisites or experience.  Information about the weekly program is provided by the tourist offices, where you can also register for a tour.
